I’m alright

  • Using Pro Tools, I remixed and rearranged the prerecorded audio into a 1-minute version.

  • The vocals had a lot bleed, so I used a noise gate/compressor with some decent release to remove that.

  • The snare mic was pretty decent, but it picked up a lot of the kick drum, so also used a gate on it as well. I filtered out some 2.4Khz to make room for the vocals—especially during the chorus.

  • During the chorus, I double tracked the acoustic guitar and backing vocals using snippets from different parts of the song.

  • Below are the snare settings (left) and main vocals (right).
